Mainstream Engineering Awarded Contract from the Department of the Air Force for Development of a Health Monitoring System for Constant Speed Drives in Aircraft

ROCKLEDGE, FL — February 23, 2018 — Mainstream Engineering Corporation, a 32-year-old Brevard County manufacturer with a history of leading-edge research and development that has resulted in advanced, lean-manufacturing, cost-competitive products, which are all made in the USA, has been awarded a contract from the Department of the Air Force for Development of a Health Monitoring System for Constant Speed Drives used on military aircraft.   Mainstream has already developed health monitoring devices for HVAC/R equipment including heat pumps, air conditioners, and compressors.  These health monitoring devices have been shown to allow accurate predictions of future failures (before they occur) thereby avoiding down time and minimizing maintenance and repair times.
