Self Sufficient Tent System

Mainstream is building a high-efficiency, integrated, Self-Sufficient Tent (SST) system for the Air Force. We are developing an integrated multi-fuel, high-efficiency, low-noise generator, a 5-ton environmental control unit, a reverse-osmosis water purification system, a user interface/power distribution panel, power conditioning electronics, and a soft-walled shelter (tent) within a single trailer-mounted SST system. Mainstream engineers have reduced the fuel consumption of the SST unit by improving the efficiency of the diesel engine-generator and integrating the use of renewable energy sources. In some deployed locations, the economic savings of this design will result in a payback period of less than 1 year. The current project will include a demonstration of the complete system and preliminary life testing. We anticipate the system will be ready for production at the conclusion of the current contract.
